Review: Studio Gear CC Cream
10:22 AMHello, lovelies!
Today I will be reviewing the CC cream by Studio Gear Cosmetics in the shade Linen (lightest shade).
I've actually used this CC cream a few times, so I think I have a pretty good overall idea of how it works.
Disclaimer: This CC cream was graciously provided to me by Studio Gear Cosmetics in return for an honest review. All opinions are mine.
I would rate this product 3.5 stars out of 5.
Coverage: Sheer It definitely does what it claims when oxidizing to match your skin color, and I definitely noticed an overall improvement in my complexion after putting it on. However, it has very very sheer coverage, so people who require more blemish/dark spot coverage (like me) would probably prefer something stronger! It didn't really provide any coverage for me, it just evened out the redness on my face, so I'd suggest wearing it as a base for foundation or if you don't want/need too much coverage. Overall I haven't noticed any "brightening/correcting" changes it promised in my complexion, but perhaps I haven't used it too much.
Price: This is where I think the product falls a little short, and it's where I deducted the most points. This 1.1 fl oz tube costs $34! That's quite a bit to ask for such a small product. Granted, the CC cream works well and pretty much fulfills its purpose, but I think it is a little bit too much to ask for a pretty simple product. I've used tinted moisturizers/BB creams before, and they felt similar and gave me similar results in terms of coverage.
Overall: Overall, I think this is a pretty solid product. I love the fact that it has SPF 20 in it, and I like that two of the active ingredients are zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, which are natural sunscreen agents. However, I noticed it also uses a Octinoxate, a chemical sunscreen, which is a little bit of a downfall for me (not too much to turn me away from buying it, though). It definitely works and does what it says it does, but to me this product isn't super remarkable! However, I do like to use it, and the SPF makes it something that I would reach to often, because I'm always concerned about skin protection! The biggest con for me was the price tag, as I was definitely hoping for a bit more coverage for those bad skin days we all have. However, for the people who have naturally good skin or wish for a lighter coverage--this is perfect!

I haven't heard about this brand! Thanks for the review. CC cream always has a sheer coverage, I usually use BB cream afterwards or at least concealer to cover spots. And yeah I do agree with you, SPF is very essential for our skin! :)

It turns a little bit yellow when you apply it ?
ReplyDeleteIt can be perfect for summer time since it is really light and has SPF.
