Cheap Amazon Makeup Brush Review!

Hello!

Today I wanted to review two, inexpensive brush sets from Amazon! These are both from the seller Beyondtrade. First off, I wanted to start off by saying that I had a very positive experience working with Beyondtrade. Their costumer service is very helpful and responsive. Shipping for me took only a few days!

The first set is a gorgeous, cream-colored 18 brush set. These brushes retail for $27.98 with free shipping. To start off, the packaging is absolutely gorgeous! The "leather" material does have a bit of an odor when first opened, but it's nothing that a day or two of airing out can't cure.

My favorite brushes from this set is definitely the two crease/blending brushes. They are absolutely perfect for getting right in the crease--they definitely take all the work away from getting a perfect contour. The two angled eyeshadow brushes are also very, very nice, and firm enough to be used for both eyeliner and eyebrows. This set doesn't include any standard fluffy eyeshadow brushes, but it does have a lot of flat shaders that are perfect for packing on color (or you can use them as concealer brushes).

My least favorite thing about this set are the face brushes. Though they are SUPER soft, I found them a little too flimsy for my liking, especially the fan brush. However, the foundation brush out of the four face brushes works fine.

And now for the second review. This brush set was definitely my favorite out of the two because it included some very, very nice face brushes. This also looks very similar to the 22-piece set by Coastal Scents, save a stippling brush that the Coastal Scents set has and this doesn't. I really loved the amount of eyeshadow brushes that were included in this set. My favorite brush, however, has to be the fan brush! I've wanted a fan brush for contour for quite some while, and this one is perfect! It's not flimsy at all and the bristles pick up just the right amount of product, as do all the other brushes in this set. My only gripe about this set was that they didn't include crease brushes (I was hoping for a dome blending brush), and their angled brushes are a little too flimsy. Other than that, I thought this set was a wonderful deal--you get SO many brushes!

This set is only $25.99 with free shipping, and it's great for makeup enthusiasts. I've used all of the brushes in these two sets, and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of both. They are great alternatives to much higher priced brushes like Sigma, and they are even cheaper than Coastal Scents!




To conclude: Both sets are terrific! I did enjoy the black brush set a little bit more due to the wonderful face brushes, but I love that the cream-colored set had some crease brushes that are harder to find in cheaper brush sets. Both are fabulous deals, and you can't go wrong with either if you are looking to invest in lots of makeup brushes for only a little bit of money.

    Wow I can't believe the first brush sets only costed $27.98!! Such a great price and the brushes look extremely soft too :) It sucks how the face brushes were flimsy though!! Even though it seems like the quality of the second brush set was a lot better, i think i'd still go for the cream coloured set just because they look so pretty :P Thanks for sharing your review!

    I've always been a bit weary about buying cheap brush sets off of Amazon/eBay, but they actually sound fine in your review - such good value for money as well!
