Rainy Days Inspiration Board ft. Polyvore

12:44 PM

I haven't written a post in quite a while, and the reason why is because just this morning I had to take a very important test (cries). It's getting quite cold where I live, yesterday it was about 45 degrees (F) when I left the house to take a walk. Admittedly, that's not very cold for some people, but for where I live the lowest it will usually get will be 30 degrees (F).

So since I took a test this morning, I didn't really dress up or anything. So, no new outfit blogpost, unfortunately (I'm just going to be in sweats all day I think!). However, I did seek to do something on the blog today, so I tried to make a little outfit inspiration board with some pictures that inspire me.

I tried using Polyvore on my computer, and let me tell you that it may actually be the hardest thing ever. Making the picture you see below took about two hours of frustration. And to make it worse, it seems like I was zoomed in while working on it, so the actual collage became really small and the background is huge!
I'm not very happy with it because of this, but I do like the way it looks for the time being. I hope you can see it fairly clearly.

A few of the photos I used (left to right: 3rd from the top, 1st and 2nd on the bottom row) were from BrittneyPanda (on instagram). I love her work so much, and she inspires me a lot. I feel like her works are less "photography" than they are "art." The main focus of her photos the structure of the human body, as she never shows her face. She likes to take photos of her figure, and the poses she makes are sometimes contorted and inhuman, which I find fascinating, and I try to incorporate some similar poses in my photography from time to time.

Another thing I want to discuss is the quote on the bottom of the collage (hopefully you can read it). I saw this the other day on Oli Sykes's twitter, and I instantly connected with it. I definitely draw all of my work from creative inspirations, as exemplified in this very blogpost/collage!

I just wanted to give a heads-up that I will probably have very limited time to blog in the next two weeks because finals are coming up for me. I'm trying to balance this blog with my schoolwork, as it does take me quite a bit of time to make a blogpost (I've now been working almost two and a half hours on this one blogpost...).

Stay warm!
