Elf Small Stipple Brush Review

1:16 PM

Hey everyone! So today I wanted to share with you one of my favorite makeup products of all time: the Small Stipple Brush from e.l.f. Cosmetics! I have to admit that I'm a big fan of e.l.f.--sure, their products are somewhat hit-or-miss, but most of the things I own from e.l.f. have proven to be pretty good products, regardless of their super-cheap price range.

This is probably my favorite product from e.l.f., hands-down! It works like a charm and I use it to apply my foundation or any face makeup on a regular daily basis. Before, I had been using makeup wedges (which are better than nothing), and this is definitely a step up for me. The brush is quite dense, and it works perfectly for blending or stippling. The downside is that it IS very small—probably about 1 inch or so in diameter. This is fine for me because I think it blends in everything really nicely and precisely—but for someone looking for a traditional stippling brush it may be a problem.

This brush only costs $3, so if it's not what you're looking for in a foundation brush it can also be used for blush or bronzer (it's the perfect size for contouring!). My only complaint is that the ferrule isn't glued very firmly to the handle, but so far that has not been a problem for me. I wash my brush once a week and it works like a charm!

If you have a bit of extra change to spend I'd definitely recommend this brush! Probably my favorite brush of all time! I'm thinking of buying a second one, just in case!

  3. Good to know that the elf brushes are great. Usually the bristles tend to go away when the brushes are cheap...

    1. I actually don't own any other brushes from elf--only this one! But yeah, the stipple brush has only shed one or two hairs after multiple washes, as far as I know! It's really great!

  5. I wish we have e.l.f here in Indonesia :( I've always bought Masami Shouko when it comes to brush, cause the price is reasonable for the quality.

    thanks for the review, btw!
