So, this blog sadly withered into nothing, after two years of hard work and regular posts. I could blame college, but really I think I just felt creatively dry in terms of producing content for this blog. Thank you to those who still stuck around--I really, really appreciate it.
While I was on blogging hiatus, I also started a new Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/convoluteddreams/. I basically just needed a forum to post pictures of my makeup work (I didn't want to over-post on my blog) whenever I felt like it. I'm pretty proud of the work I've done on it so far, and I'm excited to see what I'll come up with in the new year. I've had accounts before, but nothing serious, so I'm really trying to start using Instagram as a gallery for self-promotion and my work.
So, I guess my biggest (blogging) resolutions for the new year would be to start regularly posting on this blog again. And by regular, I mean once every week again, not once a month. I'll even resort to mirror outfit pics (hopefully not), if needed. I've missed interacting with my fellow bloggers, and creating content that I can be proud of. I did some good work in college, but I still feel like I could have done more, both in school and outside of school.
Apart with regular posts on the blog, I'm also going to post on my Instagram more. It's still new, and I'm still trying to get it to launch, but once I get into a regular routine with creating looks and taking pictures I know that I can get somewhere with it. I've already been posting at least once a week, so I think I'll try for two times a week and then maybe even three.
In terms of Youtube (yes, let's just mention all of my social media networks and bore everyone), I'm so thrilled that Kaitlin and I hit 200 subscribers before the year even ended! We have a mixed medley of posts on there, and an audience with a range of interests, but I'm glad that it's somewhat working out now. I'm personally going to work on creating more content and perhaps creating more specific content as well.
So, that's pretty much my resolutions for the new year! Outside of blogging, I'd like to join more organizations in my school so I can learn more and meet new friends. Overall--be more productive and waste less time.
If you've always been following my blog and you've returned for this post, thank you so much and welcome back! And if you're a new reader--hello! I hope you choose to stick around and see what I come up with in the new year.
